Faith and Life in Britain

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor has invited five key speakers to give lectures on "Faith and Life in Britain" at Westminster Cathedral.

The role of faith in British society is at the forefront of public debate. In a series of six Spring lectures, eminent speakers from the fields of politics, religion and the media will address the public at the Cathedral on a variety of challenging themes.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair opens the series with a talk on faith and globalisation (3 April)

Mark Thompson, Director General of the BBC will address faith and the media (10 April)

Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams examines the spiritual and the religious (17 April)

William Hague, Shadow Foreign Secretary, will look at practical politics: principled faith (24 April)

Rabbi Julia Neuberger on faith, morality, giving time to others (1 May)

The series of lectures will conclude with Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor giving a personal perspective on faith in Britain (8 May)
