2008
The last Faith in Health conference was held in July 2008 and brought together healthcare professionals from across the country to further the current debate about vocation and professionalism within the NHS. It provided a space for healthcare professionals to reflect on the spiritual basis of their vocation to work in healthcare.
Key speakers included: Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor, Baroness Julia Cumberlege, Sir Cyril Chantler and Dr James Hanvey SJ.
The conference was awarded 12 CPD credits (non-clinical) by the Royal College of Physicians and was open to all who work in healthcare.

A retreat and holiday for healthcare professionals
11th-16th January 2010
Boarbank Hall, Cumbria
Doctors and nurses are dealing with matters of life and death on a daily basis, yet they're usually so busy they have no time for peaceful reflection on how and why they do their work.
The theme of this retreat is Health and Community and it aims to provide a restful and restorative space in which healthcare professionals will be able to do just that.
The retreat will include talks and discussion, the opportunity for shared prayer, time for leisure activities, and plenty of space to relax, think and chat in beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
It's aimed in particular at doctors, nurses, chaplains and any other professionals working in the healthcare sector (who are Christians of any tradition).
Speakers
Dr George Giarchi, Mr John Sargent, Fr Richard Taylor and Sr Margaret Atkins.
Prayer
Delegates will be invited to join in:
* Daily Mass
* Morning, Evening and Night Prayer
* A shared musical meditation
