The National Justice and Peace Conference 2009 is being held in Swanwick, Derbyshire from 17-19 July 2009.

Its theme is: ‘On the Road Together, A–mazed by Migration’.

The conference aims to provide a forum where people can come together to share struggles, hopes and fears about this complex subject.

Speakers include Bishop Patrick Lynch, Chair of the Office of Migration and Refugee Policy at the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales and the format will be "Open Space" - a technique that is supposed to allow a diverse group of people to address complex topics. An expert in this method, Annette Zera, will help facilitate this.

Questions to be explored: People on the move: how does the church respond in a changing world?

Experts on aspects of the theme and people with lived experience of migration are taking part.
