Evangelisation and Catechesis

The Work of the Department for Evangelisation and Catechesis can be found in the Catholic Life and National Work sections of this website.

The Department of Evangelisation and Catechesis helps Catholics to understand and live out their faith by following Christ's command to spread the Good News of the Gospel. This task is fulfilled by the departments’ bishops, committees and agencies.

The department is made up of the Catholic Communications Network (CCN) which works alongside the Home Mission Desk and the National Project - 'Living and Sharing Our Faith.'

Home Mission Desk

Following restructuring, the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation (CASE) closed on 31 December 2009. There is now a Home Mission Desk at the Bishops' Conference which is resourced by the Home Mission Advisor. For more information, please email: Clare Ward or telephone 020 7901 4818.
