Vatican releases document on evangelisation

The Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith has issued a Note on Some Aspects of Evangelization. It is intended to recall the basic principles involved in proclaiming the Gospel today. It says that “in a broad sense” the term “evangelisation” sums up the Church’s entire mission, to proclaim and hand on the gospel. This mission “is aimed at all of humanity.” However, a “growing confusion” today has led “many to leave the missionary command of the Lord unheard and ineffective (cf Mat: 28:19).”
